This is another popular type of JSON-LD that has been shown to help get your page included in Google News.
2025 Update – I thought I would do an updated example using Times of India, since they tend to crush it in the search results and SEO in general. Kind of interesting they don’t use the name of an actual person, instead they use “TOI World Desk” for almost all of their articles. I would def use this as a template.

You can now start to get a feel for how different organizations format their JSON-LD. There really isn’t a right or wrong answer with this, but there are definitely some mandatory attributes you need to include (headline, date, etc).
Updated April 2019: Google added some new “requirements” so we had to add the author field in order for it to validate.
Results
A search engine crawler will read the code. After a period of time, the search engine results page for users performing a “branded search” will yield the below information (see photo). It is important that this information generally presents only for users who are performing the search within your geographical area.
